Bridge 'AQUILA' 4-string Electric Violin Outfit

The violin features a light, hollow, body made from carbon fibre and Kevlar composites, a maple neck, ebony fittings and a piezo pickup integrated in the bridge. The instrument comes with a quality hardwood case and carbon fibre bow, and is fitted with Thomastic Superflexible strings. These strings have a rope core of quality steel laces for durability and stability of tuning. The neck and headstock are carved from a single maple block. The neck is hand coloured with oils, for a fast, smooth, traditional finish. The design is a modified copy of the 1710 Stradivari Viola da Gamba head. The Lithium 3V CR2032 battery gives approx 1000 hours playing time. Available in size 4/4 only and in black, black/red, black/blue and black/purple finishes.

Yamaha designed the Silent Viola as a highly capable performance and practice instrument. Dual under-bridge piezo pickups and a studio-quality preamp faithfully deliver acoustic tone that's fully tweakable with the onboard EQ system. A repositioned 1/4" output jack drapes the cable behind the player while the lower bout accommodates a standard shoulder rest. The unfinished neck offers the feel of an acoustic instrument and the full 16" scale is easy to play. Available in 16" scale only and in antique brown finish.
